The large entrance hall provides central access to the impressive double aspect sitting room with a central double sided Jetmaster fireplace (logs provided) with French doors that lead out into the courtyard garden. Also leading from the hallway is a study with large windows and fantastic countryside views. The impressive kitchen with exposed beams is truly the heart of the home with a large breakfast island, 14 seater dining table and bi- folding doors that lead to a large terrace and beautiful garden. There is also a large log burner (logs provided) in the kitchen. The kitchen includes contemporary fitted units with two ovens, two warming drawers, drinks fridge, instant boiling water, large induction hob and French door style fridge freezer. There is a utility/ boot room, W/C and laundry room located to the rear of the property. There are three smart TV’s with Sky Q and Xbox.
Upstairs the beautifully appointed principal bedroom with super king bed has an ensuite bathroom and built in wardrobes. The second bedroom with a kingsize bed benefits from an ensuite shower room. There are two further bedrooms with double beds and one with a small double and a family shower room.
The gardens are a stunning feature of this property. There is a superb terrace accessed from the kitchen and main reception rooms which has a large outside table and separate seating areas. The terrace faces west and benefits from the late evening sun. Steps lead up to a formal lawn and beyond is a barn and a woodland area.
At the front of the house there is a gravelled area with plenty of car parking and a garage, beyond which is a very good kitchen garden and gravel paths that lead to a ‘play ground’ area of lawn and onwards to more woodland. There is table tennis, croquet, cricket net, 4 bicycles and a BBQ for guests to use.
The whole of the property has the benefit of mature trees, wonderful sitting areas and it is a great property for entertaining offering complete privacy with no immediate neighbours.
Situated in the hamlet of Middlecot close to the charming village of Quarley, Thimble Hall is located along a track surrounded by open countryside, yet nestled in a woodland setting. The rural position is complimented by the easy access to Grateley Station and the A303. Tidworth and Andover have all the necessary shops for everyday purposes, whilst the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester provide excellent shopping, restaurant and leisure facilities as well as their many historical buildings, theatres, galleries and museums. Added to these is the beautiful town of Stockbridge on the River Test with lovely shopping, restaurants and fishing. The World Heritage site of Stonehenge is a short drive away to the west and provides a fascinating day out. There are numerous local walks to work up an appetite and the area benefits from many good local pubs. Also locally there is horse racing at Newbury and Salisbury, Polo at Tidworth and Druids Lodge, and go-karting at Thruxton Race Circuit.
