Lithia Park Cabin is place to kick off your shoes and settle in. As you walk up the ramp (no steps in this house), you land on a spacious deck, that takes in the park, and invites you to sit, relax and enjoy life.
Upon entry, the open layout gives the feeling of spaciousness. The kitchen is full size with a 5-burner gas range and full-size oven, instant-hot water for a quick cup of coffee or tea, large size convection microwave, a dishwasher, and all the amenities, appliances, and cookware you would ever need. The refrigerator is full-size with an efficient ice maker much appreciated for summer picnics.
For your comfort, each room has a self-contained and independent ductless mini-split air conditioning/heating unit. These units have the added feature of operating in air filtration or dehumidifier mode.
The windows are upscaled for sound proofing with screens to block out bugs and let in the cool, fresh air and sounds of the creek.
The bedroom is appointed with black out shades. There is a well-lighted closet in which to hang your clothes, shelves to place your folded items and enough space to store your suitcases and things. Extra sheets, pillows and blankets can be found in the pedestal of the bed, or in the closet. And the pillows and mattress have anti-allergen protective coverings.
In the full-size bathroom, no need to worry about who gets to bathe first as there is a whole-house, on-demand, hot water heating system. You will never experience the dreaded hair-full-of-suds-and-no-mo'-hot-water. And after a day of activity, relax in the soaker tub with that endless supply of hot water.
There is a coffee table with an elevating lid which serves as your workstation. And, for your convenience, you will find useful items in the drawer above the kitchen trash & recycle; such as, stapler, tape dispenser, white out, paper clips, post-its, pens, pencils, markers, etc. There are ample outlets from which to pull power and USB outlets in the kitchen on the counter and island, by the bedside, in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi is rated at 500Mbs download and 25Mbs upload per device. More than enough for the zoom meeting, FaceTime or uploading documents.
You will find a Smart TV in the living room kitchen space with 200+ cable channels and the ability for you to login to your private streaming service, such as, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, HBO, HULU, etc. It is secured to the wall with a bracket that allows it to be swiveled, turned, and tilted to the viewing point that suits you while you’re cooking or relaxing on the couch.
There cabin has a large capacity clothes washer & dryer. Soap is provided and is located in the pantry with the housekeeping items.

The Cabin, also affectionately known historically as the Raggedy Ann House, was built around 1920. One hundred years later, the little cabin was moved about 50 feet from its original location and lovingly updated to the meet modern codes and standards of today. The exterior remains intact as does the beautifully aged Douglas Fir ceiling and a few of the interior walls.

Summer evenings the Shakespeare Festival hosts the Green Show, which is 45 minutes of wonderful entertainment and the best deal in town. At the park band shell, you will find the Ashland City Band holding concerts on Thursday nights, Saturday's is reserved for local artists and a variety of instruments, anywhere from a digeridoo to a grand piano, most often guitars, drums, and voice. And on Sunday's the local ballet schools give performances.
Rotate your view 180° from the city to the mountains in which Ashland is nestled and you have 40 miles+ of hiking trails and many more for mountain biking, with screaming single track to wake you up on the downhill. Or join the locals playing pickleball in Lithia Park, daily, all year round. Every skill level is welcome. In winter you are within a 45-minute drive to great downhill or cross-country skiing, snowshoeing trails and Mt. Shasta is within 1.5-hours.
