Positive: We loved the location and facilities. The hotel is right by the beach which means you get a sunset view even from the balcony. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is lovely.

Negative: The owners parents were staying at the hotel at the time and were simply too involved in the guests staying at the place. I advice the owner ensures their parents do not interfere with the stay of their guests if they are staying there (unless they personally know them or have made friends with them). This is the only part that greatly impacted our stay. Several interactions showed us their assumptions about us that made us VERY annoyed. The first, they assumed we were not supposed to be at the hotel based on how we looked (two young black girls). The owners father stopped us on our way out asking what we were doing there and why we were there or if we were cleaners. He didn't ask if we were guests or not. Another example, they accused us of leaving plates out from the previous night. They didn't ask if it was us, they told us not to do it. It wasn't us, we hadn't had a single dinner at the hotel and only ate in restaurants. We had to correct her that it wasn't us. Another example, (there are a few and it's too annoying to go through all), they told us not to bring men (specifically taxi drivers) back to the hotel. They assumed we were the type of women to bring random men back. Mind you, the hotel rules had already been told to us by the manager AND are written down for us in the guide. But the owners father felt, even after all his incorrect assumptions, the need to come at tell us this. It's Insulting and irritating. These interactions impacted the stay because we didn't want to be around the hotel when they were there. Everything else about the place was great including the staff. Babou was great and responsive.
