Summary: The guesthouse was absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning part of Japan. We rented a car in Matsumoto and used the guesthouse as a base for visiting Kamikochi. The hotel is bright and cheery. The rooms are a generous size. The futons comfortable. Perhaps the best thing of all was the private onsen. The dining options around are a little limited- very few are open at night. There are more soba lunch options but we were out walking. We went to both Abbey Road and Springbank which were fine.

Summary: Very cozy. This place makes you feel like home.
The bedroom is nice and clean. The common room, where you can put your food in the fridge, provides free coffee/tea. It is a shared bathroom that you can put “in use” sign for your own private use.
The staff is so kind. He also recommended the nearby place to see the autumn leaves. Not only the staff but also the other guests are very kind and friendly.
