Wanderers Hostel is a tropical backpackers oasis in the hot village of Alessgarden, Trincomalee. Located just a few minutes walk from the picturesque Uppuveli Beach our hostel is the perfect location to stay next to the beach. Wanderers Hostel features a 10 bed mixed air conditioned dorm with two bathrooms, brand new 6 inch soft form mattresses and lockers to safely store your belongings. Ladies if you are looking for a female only dorm we have you covered there as well! A 4 bed dorm for the ladies only will have you feeling like you're bunked up with your besties on a tropical island sleepover. If you also require a bit more privacy we offer private rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioned or non- air con. Our hostel features a shared open kitchen, fridge to store your food or drinks and we have a water refill station to fill your reusable water bottles. If you have that musical talent we also have a couple local musical instruments that will make for a lot of fun and one memorable stay!
If you're looking for somthing to do, other than sunbathe on the beach which is a must , we can arrange any activities such as diving, snorkeling, Pigeon Island excursions, dolphin watching, fishing trips and sightseeing tours of the surrounding must see sites. Our hosts are Sri Lankan nationals and we are happy to make any recommendations and chat with you about our little tropical island of wonder.
