Positive: The hotel itself was very nice, as you can expect from a brand like Double Tree. The pool was nice, the gym was small but alright, and they had both a dry and wet sauna. The Firework show was nice. They Took our luggage up to our room while we waited for it to be ready which was nice.

Negative: The local management is where this hotel was Seriously lacking. I came to Huizhou to surprise my girlfriend by proposing. I proposed after a hike to a beach and she said yes! A week beforehand I had booked the hotel and In the special request area I asked if they could do something small to surprise my fiance when we enter our room, they said no problem. I called again a day before arriving to confirm this request, and they agreed again. When We arrived to checked in, the receptionist, IN FRONT OF MY FIANCE said they needed more time "To decorate the room (布置）" ruining the surprise. And then after waiting 20 minutes we went to the room to find THEY HADN'T DONE ANY DECORATION (great surprise!). Facilities: I recommend anyone that stay here call beforehand to check if the facilities they want to use are actually open. - The "Fun Center" was closed - The kids water play area next to the pool was closed - Many of the arcade games were out of order (The basketball arcade game had just two basketballs, lame) - Gym had a bad smell to it like the air never got circulated - Dry Sauna - Not hot - Wet sauna - Literally room temperature + alot of mist - Locker room showers - Soap/shampoo dispensers removed from every stall, I luckily found one that had a couple single use bottles from the rooms.

Summary: They ruined the surprise for my fiance, and then surprised us by not even doing it in the end!
