Roatan Backpackers' Hostel is a small, friendly hostel with a mix of dorm, private single and double rooms, and apartments. The hostel has a communal kitchen, a cafe open during high season, and a lovely pool and patio area. Please make sure you are aware that we are located in Sandy Bay, which is about 4 km from West End ($1 in bus, around $2-$5 per person in a shared taxi). Some of our accommodations have fan only, and a few have optional a/c, which has a $10/night surcharge if you'd like to use it. We have a grocery store in walking distance, several comedores (local eateries) and a few restaurants (Pirate's Den, Cafe 314) close by. Other things in walking distance are the botanical gardens, the dolphins at Anthony's Key, water access for great snorkeling, and a couple of dive shops, as well as numerous volunteer opportunities such as the SOL Foundation community centre, Clinica Esperanza, and several schools. Hostel guests receive a discount with a couple of dive shops as well as with a zipline.
If you want to be right in the touristy hub, please to select a place that is in West End- don't choose a spot in Sandy Bay and then put a low score for location.

credit cards not accepted. 50% deposit is payable directly to the hostel within 48 hours of reserving for the reservation to be confirmed, otherwise the reservation will be canceled. This deposit can be made through Paypal (5% service fee added), Zelle, e-transfer for Canadians, or deposit to our BAC Credomatic account in Honduras.
Free cancellation booking canceled on time will be refunded. All other reservations canceled within 30 days of the arrival date are non-refundable. A date change is viewed as a cancellation and rebooking, and the cancellation policy will apply.
If a guest sends a deposit and then cancels with more than 30 days notice outlined in our policy, we refund the deposit using the same method that they paid
